After decades of battling a deadly asthma attack, Asthma Canada is finally waking up to the fact that the drug it’s been prescribed for has been shown to cause more serious allergic reactions.
The company’s new asthma drug, Ventolin, is expected to hit Canada this fall, and is expected to be available over the summer.
But while Ventolin is the latest in a long line of asthma drugs, the most recent one that has been available is the brand name Astepro. Last month, a French drugmaker announced it would start selling the brand name instead of the generic version.
